COMOCO works with Black farmers, paying above market rates to support economic equity and generational wealth. On average, Black households have 13 times less wealth than white households. Land ownership has been the primary source of generational wealth in the U.S. since its inception, and ownership disparities are systemic and continuous.

COMOCO sources our cotton exclusively from Black farmers, addressing the historical and ongoing marginalization of Black farmers and farms.

For our blank t-shirt production, COMOCO operates within a 150-mile radius from farm to finished garment. This dramatically reduces transportation-related carbon emissions associated with global supply chains. All production is kept local, minimizing energy use and eliminating the need for international shipping, making COMOCO one of the most energy-efficient blank t-shirt suppliers on the market.

Cotton’s deep, often painful history for Black Americans, can conjure images of bondage and exploitation. COMOCO is helping to reframe that narrative, and reclaim cotton as a source of pride, empowerment and prosperity. Join us in the equitable revolution of the fashion and textile sectors.
